Built by a Founder Who Got Tired of Bad Legal Research

I built Venato because I couldn't find a legal research tool that actually worked for people like me.

The existing options fall into two camps. On one side, you have Westlaw and LexisNexis - powerful but expensive, clunky, and built for large firms with dedicated research teams. On the other, generic AI tools that sound confident but make things up.

Neither works for a junior lawyer trying to piece together a 200-page directive, its amendments, connected case law, transpositions, and half a dozen related documents scattered across different government websites.

I spent months doing regulatory research the hard way. Downloading PDFs from EUR-Lex, cross-referencing amendments, trying to figure out which version of a law was actually in force. Every time I asked an AI chatbot for help, it gave me something that looked right but had no sources. I couldn't use any of it.

So I built what I wanted: a platform where every piece of EU and UK legislation is mapped, kept current in real time, and searchable through AI that shows exactly where its answers come from. No hallucinations. No guessing. Just the source text, cited and verifiable.

Venato is the tool I wish I had from day one. Now it's the tool I'm building for the next generation of European lawyers.
